Empowering communities, industries, and ecosystems through connected sensing, advanced analytics, and intelligent water solutions.
At the IoT for Water Hub, our mission is to accelerate sustainable water innovation through connected technologies, intelligent data systems, and strong community partnerships. We aim to deliver impactful, user-centric solutions that reduce complexity, enhance resilience, and promote equitable access to water insights. Our commitment to transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement ensures that every idea has the potential to create lasting change.

Dear Partners, Researchers, and Friends of the IoT Water Hub,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the ARC Research Hub for Internet of Things in Water - a nationally significant initiative that I believe will fundamentally transform how Australia manages one of its most precious resources.
Our work is urgent. Water security is one of the defining challenges of our time, and the technologies we are developing together - from advanced IoT sensors and real-time monitoring, to digital twins and data analytics - have the power to reshape how water is managed across Australia and beyond.
Research of this kind does not happen in isolation. It happens because of people like you - partners who bring real-world problems to our door, researchers who bring curiosity and rigour to every project, and institutions who believe that collaboration is the only path to change at scale. With over $10 million in combined investment and a program spanning seven themes and seventeen projects, we have a strong foundation and an even stronger community to deliver impact that truly matters.
To our industry partners: your expertise and your trust in this Hub are invaluable.
To our PhD students and early career researchers: you are the future of this field, and we are here to invest in you just as much as in the science.
And to everyone in our growing community - thank you for what you have already contributed, and welcome to what comes next.
Warm regards,
Professor Yang Liu
