About

Assoc. Prof. Grossman is the leader of the Digital Health theme at the Industrial AI Research Centre and co-director of the Digital Health Innovation and Clinical Informatics (DHICI) Lab. The DHICI Lab was established by the Industrial AI Research Centre and the Rosemary Bryant AO Research Centre in 2025. I am member of the AI and Software Engineering Lab in the Industrial AI Research Centre and work on the integration of business processes and complex data structures for systems interoperability using AI. As an affiliated researcher at the Centre for Change and Complexity in Learning (C3L) I am working with colleagues on applying AI in teaching & learning. I received my PhD from UniSA in 2008 and was awarded the Ian Davey Research Thesis price for the most outstanding PhD thesis. My current research interests include integration of service processes, ontology-driven integration, information visualisation, management of digital twins, and AI-driven software engineering. I am currently co-investigator in the Digital Health CRC project PreHaRM, Future Energy Export (FEnEx) CRC projects on risk management and data integration/interoperability, and in collaboration with the MIMOSA-led work on the OIIE OGI Pilot. I am also Steering Committee member of the International Conference on Enterprise Design, Operations and Computing (EDOC).
