Prof David P. Byrne

I am a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne, where I hold the Ritchie Chair of Economic Research. I do empirical research in industrial organization and behavioral economics, focusing on digital, energy, and resource markets. I am also an ARC Future Fellow, associate editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, executive committee member of the Asia-Pacific Industrial Organization Society and European Association for Research in Industrial Economics, and a member of the Australian Competition Tribunal.
